Fortepianos

Anton Walter 1789 Johann A. Stein

After five years experience in yhe field of the Fortepiano together with a renowed maker, BIZZI has decided to undertake his own way in order to reach that high level of quality and efficienty which a small craftsman structure cannot guarantee.

The new BIZZI system is based upon two main priciples:

▬ THE EFFICIENTY OF A FACTORY PRODUCTION PROCESS

▬ AN IMPORTANT HISTORICAL FORTEPIANO TO STUDY

Starting with the first point, it must be said very clearly that a handicraft manufacturing systems, ideal for research program, is definitely not suitable for a regular production of instruments like pianos.

In fact, if we have a look at the historical manufacturing systems, starting from the Mozart days, we only see "Fortepiano Fabrik", which are real factories and no individual or small makers.

In order to reach the consistent quality, you want a very stable process which is also the only way to reach production efficiency and a high quality / price rate.

The success of BIZZI in the field of harpsichords (700 sold in 10 years and in 43 Countries) has encouraged us to create a real fortepiano factory inspiring our work to the principles of the most important historical makers.

Coming to the second point, most fortepianos in the market oare just based on technical drawings or instruments which are often too far from their original conditions. Such situation does not give that kind of information that only a regular research and physical contact with a great instrument can provide.

We are now to proud to announce that BIZZI is the only maker entitled to work at the GIULINI Collection, indeed the one of the most important ones, now at our complete disposal.

We want to outline that the magnificent fortepianos of Mrs. Giulini have been studied by John Henry van der Meer, author of the impressive collection catalogue.

Based on the above opportunities, we have decided to start production with two models: the 'A.Walter 1789' and the 'Stein'.
